Our Story
Cornerstone Franciscan Services for Churches began in 2015, when a discernment team at a small church in Baltimore recognized a calling. They saw that many congregations were struggling to manage their finances and operations, and realized that their own professional gifts in accounting and administration could make a difference.
With startup support from the Robert W. Ihloff Fund for Congregational Development, the team launched what began as a volunteer effort and grew into a ministry dedicated to supporting the Church through faithful financial care.
From the beginning, we believed that administration is more than a task list—it’s a vital expression of ministry that helps the Church thrive.
Today, Cornerstone is a nonprofit with deep roots in the Church, offering affordable bookkeeping services tailored for ministries. Unlike typical accounting firms, we’re not just vendors—we’re ministry partners, here to strengthen the sacred, often unseen work that keeps churches running.
